Problem
Children are not educated about the positive and negative impacts about social media these days. The lack of information can be dangerous to them, when they are finally able to use social media.
Solution
Be Safe Out There is an interactive online workshop that will give children an opportunity to understand what is social media, from a neutral point of view.
Process
The project started with a research, particularly on articles about social media and how it affects children. This project was my very first time of using Figma and exploring interactivity with it. I’ve always enjoyed drawing and creating cute illustrations in my work. Incorporating my cute illustration style with interactivity and storytelling, I finished Be Safe
Out There within a year.
One Storyline, Four Chapters.
Before starting the workshop, children will need to register an account with their parents or guardians. Once the workshop begins, they will be accompanied by a mascot as they explore four levels on the website. The experience includes engaging quizzes and stories designed to teach children about social media, alongside user-friendly interactions that are easy to navigate. The campsite theme suggests children to play outside more and aligns with Be Safe Out There.
