My Role
Lead UX Designer designing the app from conception to delivery.

Responsibilities
User research, wireframing, prototyping.
Problem
Cooking sites are often very cluttered and difficult to navigate.

Goal
The goal was to design a usable, enjoyable, and user-friendly cooking site for busy adults.

Target Audience

Busy adults who want to learn how to cook.

Persona 1 - Jane
Jane is a 35-year-old marketing executive with a demanding career. She works long hours and often finds herself short on time to prepare meals.
Persona 2 - Michael
Michael is a 25-year-old recent college graduate who has recently moved into his own apartment. He has always relied on takeout and frozen meals but now wants to learn how to cook simple and delicious meals for himself.
Takeaways

Impact
Aroma will help busy adults learn how to cook. It offers extensive collections of recipes across various cuisines and categories. Users can explore a wide range of dishes, from simple and beginner-friendly recipes to complex and gourmet creations. Having access to a diverse selection of recipes allows users to choose dishes based on their skill level and culinary preferences.

What I learned
I have learned about responsive design frameworks, media queries, and techniques for creating flexible and mobile-friendly websites.
Next Steps

1. I would conduct another round of usability study to test the app with actual users.

2. Conduct more user research to determine any new areas of need.

3. Actually coding and making this website come to life.
