Concept

The new corporate identity of the  Hong Kong Science Museum highlights their mission of promoting science, technology, and astronomy to students and the general public in Hong Kong, as well as their vision to attract patrons and visitors from Mainland China and overseas. The visual aspect of this new corporate identity is more modern and vibrant than the current branding assets (e.g. websites, brochures, and tickets), while also retaining the historical background of the Museum.

The letter “S” expresses a path that leads the child to discover science, especially at the Hong Kong Science Museum. The lines and circles around the letter are inspired by planets and atoms. Atoms are the basic building block for all matter in the universe. They also represent children and their parents walking the path and learning about science together.
